Try to locate all the relevant suppliers available in the market. You can try all possible research technique through Online, Offline or Word of mouth techniques. For eg:- globalsources


Always keep your business card handy…


Now create a procurement of goods proposal email template and send it across all the suppliers you’re willing to procure from.


In your mail or telephonic conversation always try to ask for samples, per piece rates,taxes, freight charges & any other additional charges. Because this will help to decide your selling price and calculate your profit

Chapter 9 : Procurement

So now I received the samples of the ecofriendly products with price-list and minimum buying quantity from few of the manufacturers.

I shortlisted manufacturers based on quality, price & minimum quantity ask.

One important point never agree to minimum qty ask from manufacturers. 

You have to quote your ask & price as per your feasibility. 

Even if, manufacturer says minimum 20,000 pcs should be bought, simply say I can only buy 500 pcs.

“Never feel afraid to negotiate.”

End of the day…its business.

Chapter 10 : Consignment Validation

After all the negotiation I placed order for 500 pcs of ecofriendly plates.

As soon as, I got the consignment, first thing I did was verified the pieces and also informed the manufacturer about the damages and that were adjusted in the next lot.

I forgot to mention…once you get into business you have to bit smart enough in terms of basic mathematics , calculations and keep all the invoices, documents or transaction notes safely. 


So that if any discrepancy occurs you have figures to defend your case.
