Chapter 17 : Packaging

Packaging helps to create good impression in mind of the customer and shows how much you care for them and their belongings. To portrait yourself as professional e-commerce store, create your brand sticker, branded cartons, tapes, courier bags and try to use it while packaging. It's kind-of offline marketing. For eg: Amazon does it in similar way.

As our is small setup, always look for the cost-effective solutions but it should look elegant.

Note :- Always try to do compact packaging so that it will help you reduce the shipping cost.

Chapter 18 : Tools & Accessories you will need for packaging

Below are the tools & accessories you will need to get going,

1. Carton Boxes ( use 5 ply ) - You can smartly use the old boxes to reduce your packaging cost.

2. Heat Gun - For heat shrink wrapping

3. Stretch wrap - it's cheaper and provides good protective film.

4. Tapes

5. Cutters

6. Bubble Wrap - ( Optional ) - If you're selling delicate item like glass, you should include this in your packaging.

7. Kraft paper - ( Optional )

8. Use home printer to print shipping address labels & print invoices - Inkjet printers are cheaper

9. Courier bags - for small items.
