Again the similar banking scam of "New India co-operative bank" has created problems for the people by blocking their own savings which is their hard-earned money.
Today's need is a simple & ideal banking system...
(** Please note charges / number mentioned are just representation. Technically it should be more than mentioned here. )
First and non-negotiable condition for any institute or organisation willing to start a bank has to deposit upfront Rs. 1000 crores as security of the people so if bank defaults that money will deposited to holders account and every year Rs. 200 crores has to be charged for license renewal fees.
Banks should not be permitted to lend more than 40% of the capital they hold else they have to face penalties roughly 100 crores and imprisonment charges.
Account holders are eligible to get 100% refund with interest applicable because its people who are earning and depositing it to the bank so bank here is providing a service of securing the wealth.
Bank can't keep on lending the money repeatedly to the same entity, if that entity defaults and banks want to keep the books clear.
- If that has to be done then it has to be announced in public through newspapers, social media and channels.
- Central ministry, RBI and bank officials has to provide a written approval on it and providing the guarantee on the safety of the assets incase if entity fails to return the loan amount.
Banks cannot charge a single penny from the account holders in name of services.
Government and RBI has to pay them to run the services.
Without consent of the account holder, bank cannot book FD or lend the amount to borrower even if its 10% of the saving amount. Entire amount belongs to the account holder.
Let's keep banking simple...
And banks should start working as a Custodian and not as business enterprises...
It's time to
Disintegrate banking and investment wings...
